Product Designer

Job Description
Product Designer is responsible for designing and documenting air moving equipment under the guidance of a Design Engineer.

Create 3D models and assemblies of equipment as required for assigned project.
Generate the required 2D drawings to document the design and communicate requirements to production personnel and/or customers.
Support production as required to communicate design intent to shop personnel.
Collaborate with Design Engineer on the development of products to ensure that design standards and structural integrity are maintained.
Maintain existing drawings and complete work within the Engineering Change system as required.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor of Science – Design/Industrial Technology
3-5 years of experience in mechanical design utilizing CAD software
Hands-on design experience with sheet metal products required
Experience with Autodesk Inventor desired

Production Manager

Due to our recent 140,000 square foot expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on manager, comfortable out on plant floor, in a metal fabrication environment. Must be goal oriented and driven to continuous improvement. This person is responsible for meeting company goals, labor efficiency improvements, developing department supervisors, and daily problem solving in a union environment. Experience with sheet metal fabrication techniques required. Reports to VP of Mfg. Salary commensurate with experience.

2nd Shift Supervisor

Loren Cook Company is accepting applications for supervisors experienced in a metal manufacturing environment. Preferred candidate will have excellent mechanical, analytical and communication skills with a strong desire to grow and succeed. Competitive salary based on experience.


  • Train, coach, and develop production employees
  • Review and evaluate production processes to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Apply and enforce workplace policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure production schedules are met

  • Sheet metal fabrication and/or assembly experience is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing
  • High school diploma/GED is required
  • Must be goal oriented, organized and have strong organizational skills


Must be proficient with tape measures and hand and power tools. Ability to read blueprints is required. Starting pay $16.95 with guaranteed minimum pay increase to $18.35 within one year. First shift hours are 6:55 am to 3:25 pm, Mon-Fri. Second shift hours are 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, Mon-Fri.

Second Shift Welders

Must pass a basic Mig Weld test, and read welding blueprints. Starting pay $17.95 with guaranteed minimum pay increase to $19.35 within one year. Second shift hours are 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, Mon-Fri.
